Reading comprehension
Listening:
Play Simon says with the instructions from Match it! box and the body parts from the Lead-in. The winner will become the coach of the class.

During lockdown, these famous people teach different subjects.

Watch their lessons:

Learn about animals with David Attenborough!

Learn Spanish with Sergio Agüero!

Speaking: Describing a teacher:
Write about your favourite teacher. Then in pairs describe your teacher to your partner. E.g. "My favourite teacher has brown hair, blue eyes and wears glasses. She is kind and funny." Your partner has to guess which teacher are you talking about.

Writing fantasy timetable:
You have a blank class timetable. Design and write your fantasy school timetable, choosing celebrities you know to teach certain subjects. For example: Cristiano Ronaldo teaches PE, Bellie Ellish teaches music and Donald Trump teaches Social Science. Share your ideas with the class and vote on the best teacher for each subject.

During lockdown, cities are quiet. Everyone is at home … but not this kangaroo!

travel plans:
We are going on a school trip at Christmas. The options are in the envelopes. There are some with city names and others in blank where you can choose your own city.
Steps:
1st: Split the class into groups and assign each group an envelope.
2nd: Plan a travel itinerary for the trip. Include how you will travel, what they will take with them, what you will eat / see / visit during the trip. You can use the internet to research more about your place if possible. Use this sample:

3rd: Present their travel plan to the class. The class then votes on where you would like to visit.

  • You can see ________, _________ and _________.
  • You can visit ________, _________, _______ and ________.
  • You can eat _________, ________, ________ and ________.
